When Things Feel Out of Sync
when things feel out of sync
When what you think, say, and do begin to align

“Most of us don’t struggle because we lack effort.
We struggle because what we think,
what we say,
and what we do aren’t aligned."
Hi Friend,
If any part of your life feels out of sync, this is an invitation to notice.
Most of us don’t struggle because we lack effort.
We struggle because what we think, what we say, and what we do aren’t fully aligned.
When perception, relationship, and action move together, life requires less force.
Decisions become clearer.
Relationships deepen.
Energy is no longer lost to internal friction.
That’s what congruence creates —
an inner alignment between what we notice, how we respond, and what we create.
Having congruence in life—taking the time to align what we think, what we say, and what we do—is when we feel most like ourselves, and experience the greatest sense of peace.
We have a lot of complexities as humans…
we desire peace, love, joy and serenity…
and yet our actions may not support this in our lives.
We want to feel seen and heard, and yet, we may not be showing up authentically ourselves.
That gap takes energy.
When our inner world and our outer behavior don’t match, we start pushing.
We force conversations.
We overwork solutions.
We keep moving, but nothing really settles.
Congruence removes that friction.
When perception, words, and action are aligned, life feels steadier.
Energy stops leaking in a hundred small ways.
One of my greatest teachers of congruence has been a horse named Diesel.
Diesel is a 19-year-old BIG-hearted Belgian draft horse who found a second chance at Big Heart Ranch where I volunteer. Rescued and rehabilitated, he now works as a therapy horse with both children and adults.
Diesel teaches relationship resonance and trust.
Relationship resonance—whether with a horse, a child, a partner, a coworker, or yourself—happens when thoughts, feelings, and actions are aligned in a heartfelt, authentic way.
Horses don’t wear masks.
They don’t respond to what you say.
They respond to you. Your energy. Your inner world.
You may be thinking one thing, acting another way, and telling yourself everything is fine—but they know. Not with judgment. With clarity.
Seeing Diesel work with kids made this unmistakable.
For me, the real work began when I started tending to my thoughts.
Catching negative self-talk.
Noticing how I spoke to myself in moments of stress or doubt.
I began asking a simple question:
Would I speak to a close friend this way?
From there, I could build from a more solid place—aligning my thoughts with what I said, and what I said with what I did.
I’ve also come to believe our words matter. There is energy behind them.
What we say — especially out loud — carries weight. It’s a signal. A direction, As if we’re telling the universe what we’re available for.
Another place many of us get caught is in action.
We say we want a healthy body, close friendships, or meaningful community—
yet we continue doing what gives us the same results.
Action is part of congruence.
When what you do finally matches what you say matters to you, something begins to shift.
One of the most powerful things you can do for yourself is to keep the promises you make to yourself.
That’s where self-trust begins to bloom.
It takes effort to ensure we are in congruence and honoring our higher self,
but it’s the effort worth taking to support your peace and build a life on purpose that you are proud of.
A question to carry with you this week:
Where in your life are you feeling stuck, anxious, or frustrated?
Write it down.
What are you thinking about it?
What do you say about it—to yourself or others?
What do you do in response?
Now imagine a close friend came to you with the same situation.
What thoughts would you offer them?
What words would you encourage them to speak? (Our words shape what we reinforce—and I believe they matter.)
What action would help bring everything back into alignment?
That’s the work of congruence.
And it’s one of the foundations of self-trust—and peace.
With love,
Krystal ♥️
