Deep inside the desert of AlUla, Saudi Arabia, in the Abu Oud Valley, you can find inscriptions over 4,000-5,000 years old!
Pictured here, are inceptions from 2 eras: Libyan and Nabatean Early Arabic that include ostriches, lions, Arabian leopards, and more.
The Archeologists believe them to go back to the Libyan period from 900 BC to 168 BC.
This region of Saudi Arabia just recently opened to the public and only 1% of the region has been excavated at this time. This is a rare encounter with history. Incredible to see history so close!… and experience the first emoji! 😉
